About

General description

Camosun College is located in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia with campuses on the Traditional Territories of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. We acknowledge their welcome and graciousness to the students who seek knowledge here.

Diverse student population

Each year Camosun welcomes over 1,200 Indigenous students from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit groups, and over 2,100 international students from more than 80 countries.

The college welcomed its first students in 1971 and adopted the name “Camosun”, a local Lkwungen (Songhees) First Nation name meaning “where different waters meet and are transformed.” Today, Camosun College offers over 160 innovative programs to help meet the needs of students and communities in Victoria and beyond.

Wide range of programs

Our education offerings include university transfer and applied degree programs; career and trades training; upgrading and preparatory programs; and continuing education. Camosun College has earned an outstanding reputation for teaching excellence—we’re proud of our faculty, staff and students, and the fact that we provide one of Canada’s best learning experiences.

We’re large enough to provide great services and facilities for a vibrant campus environment on beautiful Vancouver Island, yet small enough to offer students the individual support, care and attention not found in most post-secondary institutions.

Why choose Interurban Campus

Interurban campus rests in a rural Saanich setting, only a short 15-minute drive from downtown.

As a Camosun International student, you'll join an inclusive community where an awareness and understanding of culture is valued and respected.

Practical

Camosun focuses on teaching practical skills in small classes (30-40 students) to make sure you are ready to start working. Most programs provide the opportunity to gain real work experience through a co-op, internship, or practicum.

Quality

Camosun's programs are constantly monitored to ensure they are relevant for today's jobs.

The province of British Columbia (BC) provides students with a globally recognized seal of quality for post-secondary education – the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation, which Camosun is proud to have.

Value

Camosun offers high-quality education at affordable tuition rates. Compare the cost at Camosun to other colleges and universities and see the difference.
