Year 1

You must complete the following courses.

OR

• Language and Communication for Health - 5902LHS (only offered on-campus) (see Note 1)
• Interpersonal Skills - 1008HSV (see Note 2)
• Human Services Processes - 1007HSV
• Equity and Diversity - 1028HSV
• Introduction to Social Theory - 1014HSV
• Free-choice elective

Note 1: Students entering in Year 1 and are required to complete the English Language Enhancement course will complete 5902LHS in their first trimester of study in place of 1015HSV and complete 1015HSV in Year 2/Trimester 1 in place of a free-choice elective.

Note 2: Students enrolled in the Distance Education offering of the Bachelor of Human Services are required to attend a one-week (Monday-Friday) compulsory intensive at the Gold Coast campus as part of this course.

Year 2

Note 1: Students enrolled in the Distance Education offering of the Bachelor of Human Services are required to attend a one-week (Monday-Friday) compulsory intensive at the Gold Coast campus as part of this course.

Note 2: For students entering the program in Year 2 and are required to complete the English Language Enhancement course.

Note 3: For students who completed the English Language Enhancement course in Year 1, 1015HSV must be completed in Year 2/Trimester 1.

Year 3

Note 1: Students must undertake 3011HSV in their final trimester of study. Students must complete preparation for placement requirements in the trimester prior to placement. Students will be advised in writing of these requirements. Students will need to be available for professional placements and workshops for five full days every week when undertaking the field placement.
