The Business with Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a professional programme which has been developed to provide you with the workplace skills required for a career in this sector.
In the first year you’ll study the building blocks of business and you’ll start to examine how leading companies organise and manage their logistics and supply chains to ensure success. We will also develop your skills in leadership, decision making and focus ontopics such as planning and control of operations, managing sourcing, manufacturing and physical logistics, and looking at ways which these can be done. This course offers a credited Personal and Academic Development Module, which provides on-going guidance on developing your personal and employability skills and an opportunity to complete a placement year as we want to make you employment-ready so you can take the next step in your career.
This course is part of the full NOVUS scheme, an innovation developed between the university and the NOVUS Trust. The Trust is an industry-led organisation that focuses on developing talent in the transport, logistics and supply chain management sectors. Being part of the scheme opens up wider opportunities for work experience and networking with professionals in the sector through access to a company mentor, as well as a guaranteed third year work placement and guaranteed graduate job if you secure a 2:1 or above. The full NOVUS scheme runs alongside the Business with Logistics and Supply Chain Management course.
