  • This dual Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation with the Certificate IV in Guiding is ideal for those with a passion for the outdoors and a sense of adventure.
  • Together with the Certificate IV in Guiding, this course will help you develop the skills and techniques required to work as a remote-area guide or nature-based guide who operates extended tours.
  • The program prepares you for the demands of the outdoor recreation industry. The courses focus on giving you a wide range of outdoor activity training to both guide and instructor level. Specific skills developed are in the areas of bushwalking, canoeing, rock climbing and abseiling.
  • The course content focuses on developing the capabilities required to plan and deliver an outdoor recreation program for a wide range of clients. Your classroom will be a mixture of both outdoors and our Waverley campus. Practical field trips and industry placement form part of the course. They may vary in length from single days to 15-day expeditions.
