Course Information

The Department of Geography was established in 1971 with majors in social education and geography, and established a master's degree program in 1983 and a doctoral program in 1984 to produce advanced researchers. The department organizes annual field trip to enhance our understanding of homeland, as well as a geography department photo exhibition in the spring and an academic conference in the fall. Recognizing that geography is at the center of all social sciences, we educate students to develop the ability to understand society and culture through a spatial approach. Geography majors are active in research institutes affiliated with local governments, including the National Land Research Institute, the National Geographic Institute, the Land Development Corporation, the Enviornmental related Development Corporation, and the Road Corporation.
