The Department of Korean Language and Literature cultivates national identity through the study of Korean language and literature, and contributes to creative endeavors in the field of Korean language and literature. The Department nurtures autonomous and creative cultural talents through the study and research of Korean linguistics, classical literature, and modern literature. By participating in various academic social activities, the Department cultivates independent competence and the ability to proactively respond to real-world challenges. The curriculum is designed in stages, taking into account the characteristics and level of the major, combining traditional Korean language and literature with knowledge suitable for the era of globalization, and cultivating knowledge and theories of Korean language and culture. Through academic tours and practical learning experiences, students engage in the acquisition of practical knowledge, share research results through academic conferences, and foster a spirit of solidarity among classmates and between third- and fourth-year students.
