The health industry in Australia is booming and there is an ever increasing need for qualified nursing and medical staff. The Diploma of Health Care prepares you for entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing at Griffith University.
You will study the core concepts related to the anatomy and physiology of the human body and the ways in which the body and mind develop and change across the lifespan. The theoretical content explored in these beginning level courses takes place within the classroom and through simulated practice in laboratory settings. You will also gain knowledge and skills essential for beginner level employment in the health care industry.
Your learning will be supported by additional workshops which explore theoretical models through an interactive approach. Plus, simulated real health service settings will provide you with practical, experiential learning.
If you do not meet the English language requirements you can undertake an English intensive course at Griffith English Language Institute (GELI) prior to commencing your Griffith College program.
The Direct Entry Program is your pathway to a Griffith University degree or Griffith College diploma. Build your English skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking, and at higher levels, practise academic skills. You won’t need to submit an English test score if you complete this program at the English level needed for your chosen degree or diploma.
Duration: The number of weeks you undertake study depends on your current English language proficiency
Start dates: With classes starting every five weeks, you can choose to start your English classes when it suits you best.
Tuition fee: Tuition fees for the Direct Entry Program will vary depending on the number of weeks you are enrolled.
