If you enjoy IT but prefer management and strategy over the technical side of the industry then the UC Graduate Certificate in Informatics is the perfect option that will give you the skills, knowledge and qualifications to enter a stellar career as an in-demand IT managerial specialist.

This course is unique as has been designed to teach you a combination of IT, business and management skills, while introducing you to some of the core concepts of the complex ‘Information Age’ – which in turn will also allow you to explore specialist areas of IT by covering subjects like systems modelling, database design and business analysis.

As part of your studies you will be encouraged to widen your knowledge in the field of business informatics, as well as given the choice of deciding upon a discipline to investigate further.

Highly flexible, tis part-time course is offered across several delivery options to help you balance study with other commitments, with units provided on-campus during both weekday business hours and on weekday evenings.

Further postgraduate study in business informatics or IT is encouraged, with direct progression available at graduation from this course to the Graduate Diploma in Business Informatics and the Master of Business Informatics available by enrolling in additional units.

Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is a strong focus of the UC Graduate Certificate in Business Informatics course and as such you will get to regularly connect and engage with the world of professional practice via examination of practical scenarios and industry case studies.

As part of your studies, you will also have the opportunity to tailor your studies around your specific areas of interest, or future employment aspirations – or participate in work experience or internships with organisations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Fujitsu Australia, Birdsnest, the University of Canberra, and more.
