Successful completion of a Bachelor Degree. Students who have not completed first-year chemistry, microbiology, botany and/or soil science will be required to complete relevant studies prior to admission, as advised by the Course Director. Students who do not have work experience in the Grape and Wine Industry will be required to complete WSC111 Grape and Wine Science.

The Master of Viticulture and Oenology promotes advanced knowledge in viticulture and wine science. It will develop your capacity for critical reflection through independent research and analysis.

Research skills
You'll develop high-level research skills as you undertake a research project and prepare a dissertation. This course also develops your knowledge of data analysis and interpretation and enhances your skills in the presentation of knowledge to academia and industry.
Focused studies
You can tailor your studies to an area of professional development or interest. As well as choosing from the viticulture or the oenology stream, you can write your dissertation in an area of interest, such as vine health, vine physiology, wine production or wine sensory science.
