Course Information

Our degree in Media Studies has been designed to reflect the challenges and opportunities of rapidly changing digital media. This programme helps you build creative, technical and analytical skills reflecting the multiple demands of careers in media and creative industries and beyond as thinkers, makers and creators alike!

Media and communication are the lifeblood of our society, culture and democracy. We get our news from television or Twitter in moments of crisis, we rely on the cinema or video streaming platforms for our entertainment, and we connect to others and construct an image of ourselves on social media. The programme examines a range of contemporary phenomena from celebrity to gaming culture, from user participation to social media.
