An essay of 200 words or more on why you would like to earn a degree at Seton Hill.
Letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor or one recommendation form. Additional recommendations are welcome and may represent other sources.
Official score reports from either the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) or the ACT test (American College Testing Program). (Information about Test Optional alternative.)
A transcript evaluation from the World Education Services (WES).
Proof of English proficiency
TOEFL score of at least 213 (computer-based), or 79-80 (Internet based).
IELTS score of 6.0.
Completion of 30 semester hours at a U.S. university.
Completion of an ESL program.
SAT score of at least a 470 on the critical reading section.
ACT composite score of 20 or higher.
Duolingo score of at least 100.
The Sacred Music Certificate program at Seton Hill prepares university and community musicians for ministry in the church as pastoral musicians. Rooted in tradition, students:
examine the liturgical and musical norms of the church,
learn the practical traits needed to successfully run a music ministry,
plan meaningful worship, and
become successful performers, conductors, organists and vocalists.
The Sacred Music Certificate is a wonderful opportunity for current music majors, aspiring professionals, or church volunteers wishing to refine skills or find real-world opportunities in service to the church.
