As an international student, you are eligible for academic merit scholarships and awards that do not include financial need as a selection criteria.  Ensure you meet all selection and eligibility criteria requirements for the awards you are applying for, otherwise your application may be disqualified.

The Hiring Process

• The employer provides us with the job information before the posting dates (see Employer Job Posting Dates), which we post for all students to examine.
• The students submit resumes to our office for jobs that interest them.
• The employer decides who will be interviewed and when interviews will be held; the Co-op Office arranges the interviews.
• After the interview, the employer makes an offer to the student(s) of his/her choice.
• During the student's work term, a co-ordinator will follow up with a co-op job site visit.

Salaries

The salaries paid to Co-operative Education students are determined by each individual employer. The Co-operative Education staff can provide salary averages for each program. Some employers outside of Saskatchewan assist the students with transportation costs.

• Recent changes in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) policies allow international students to use the skills obtained at Saskatchewan Polytechnic and put them to use in the Canadian work context.
• Some international students are eligible to work off campus if they meet the eligibility criteria outlined by IRCC while they study. 
• Students that graduate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic programs are also eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit. This allows the student to work after graduation to gain valuable work experience in Canada.
• Saskatchewan has the most attractive Permanent Residency laws in Canada for students looking to immigrate to Canada. Visit the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program for more information.
• Graduates can also investigate options with the Canadian Experience Class for federal options for Permanent Residency.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic's Prince Albert Campus features 36 two-bedroom townhouse-style units, including two wheelchair-accessible suites. The units are intended to provide quality, safe and affordable rental accommodation for full-time students, apprenticeship students and students with families.

The Student Village at Luther College - Regina campus

The Student Village at Luther College is a student residence with 219 private rooms and 24-hour residence staff on site.
