The admission criteria have been grouped to assist you to easily find the information most relevant to your circumstances. However, you may fit into more than one and the university will consider applicants against each of the relevant criteria.
Applicants are required to meet one of the following criteria with a competitive result, and demonstrate that they fulfill any prerequisite requirements and essential requirements for admission:

Mechanical engineering is a diverse field that can be applied right across industry – from robotics and automation to manufacturing, automotive and energy. This degree captures that diversity, integrating mechanical engineering with computing, control, automation and actuation.
In this degree you will apply engineering theory to real-world challenges. You will work on a major industry project in your final year, and study advanced courses in mechatronics. As well as a 12-week work placement, there will be lots of opportunities to learn by practical example, with guest lecturers from industry, simulated business environments and site visits to industrial facilities.
If you decide to exit this qualification having completed the first three years, you will receive the Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering).
