English requirements

We require demonstration of proficiency in English for most international applicants. Submit official English test scores with your application unless you’re from Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Commonwealth Caribbean, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, South Africa or the United Kingdom. We accept the following:

  • TOEFL internet-based score of 71+

  • IELTS score of 6.0+

  • Duolingo score of 100+ (tests taken before July 1 – minimum score of 51)

  • PTE score of 50+

We only can accept scores received directly from the testing organization. We review on an individual basis any case where an applicant’s score is below our recommended testing levels.

Course Information

As a graphic design student, you'll get the latest digital art techniquesand knowledge about informational design. You'll use advanced software, and gain a historical and technical understanding of graphic and multimedia design. In this B.F.A. in graphic design program, you'll create polished designs you can present to future clients. And you'll learn this from dedicated faculty who are accomplished professionals in advertising, product design, branding, illustration and related fields.

Choose between a graphic design or advertising track and focus on enhancing your knowledge in a specific area. Focus on advertising design and learn art direction management, consumer behavior and interactive media design. Or concentrate on graphic design and learn packaging design, and vector and raster imaging. No matter what track you choose, you will learn how to reach target audiences, build brand strength and analyze results to budget advertising effectively.
