Our Computing (Virtual Reality & Industrial Simulation) HND will teach you the power of graphics and graphical displays, their design for 2D formats and their development for use within a variety of platforms. The computing industry is growing and evolving and it’s integral to people’s daily lives and businesses. During this course you will investigate the wide reaching influences that computers and computing technology have on the world, making your own contributions and finding your place in this industry.
This programme covers the fundamental principles that are key to computing technology and meeting future needs, so that you can apply your knowledge of computer networks technology to the wider computing industry.
Our specialist course will give you a good understanding of 2D graphics theory and techniques, graphics programming and mobile computing, as well as an appreciation of the relevance of multimedia technologies to modern industry and commerce. You will have opportunities to reinforce your theoretical knowledge through practical work in our computer facilities.
Once you complete the HND you may be able to study for an additional year to achieve the BSc (Hons) qualification.
