To gain entry into AUR10116 Certificate I in Automotive Vocational Preparation Technology:
Students will need to wear work clothing suited to the automotive industry such as
Steel cap boots
Safety glasses, and
Protective clothing
Students will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge to undertake a course at this level.
This is a current, nationally accredited qualification from the AUR Automotive Retail, Service and Repair Training Package.
This qualification is an introductory qualification to the automotive retail, service and repair industries and an entry to further training in several sectors. It is designed for application in a highly supervised context, such as VET for Secondary Students (VSS) or other equivalent introduction or induction to industry environments. The range of technical skills and knowledge is limited.
To achieve a Certificate I in Automotive Vocational Preparation (AUR10116) a total of EIGHT (8) units of competency must be completed comprising FIVE (5) Core and THREE (3) Elective units as detailed in the packaging rules and listed below.
