The qualification will include 2 weeks, equivalent to 60 hours of industry placement, to be undertaken at an Alliance College approved workplace.
This qualification targets senior professionals providing critical support to engineers. They are responsible for managing a wide range of specialised and complex tasks, including strategic planning and project initiation. Their duties encompass designing intricate projects to meet client requirements and leveraging both theoretical and technical expertise to address technical and managerial challenges effectively. Key competencies include leadership in project management, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to implement innovative solutions in engineering contexts.
Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to apply civil construction design principles, develop technical plans, analyse design performance, ensure compliance with regulations, manage project risks and quality, apply geotechnical engineering concepts, and use CAD software for complex drawings.

This qualification may lead to a pathway to work as a Civil Design Manager or Contracts Manager. Employment may include but is not limited to: Civil Engineering Draftsperson, Civil Engineering Design Draftsperson, Civil Design Draftsperson, Civil Construction Supervisor, Senior Civil Works Designer.
