Do you love everything beauty? Are you good with your hands and enjoy interacting with people? This course will help you become a fully-qualified Beauty Therapist working in beauty salons and spas.
Qualifications & Skills Covered
Discover your passion for beauty therapy with the Diploma. Through this course you’ll learn a range of salon treatments including micro-dermabrasion, facial treatments, stone therapy and body massage. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 13 core units and 12 elective units.
Course Notes
Students have further 3 options to package (entry criteria apply)
1. Certificate III in Beauty Services (2 semesters), Diploma of Beauty Therapy (2 semesters), 2 years (minimum Year 10 or overseas equivalent)
2. Certificate III in Beauty Services (2 semesters), Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy (1 semester), Diploma of Beauty Therapy (1 semester), 2 years (student may also wish to take all three qualifications, minimum Year 10 or overseas equivalent).
3. Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy (2 semesters), Diploma of Beauty Therapy (1 semester), 1.5 years (minimum Year 11 or overseas equivalent).
Students will receive a COE and parchment for all qualifications within their chosen option.
The Diploma of Beauty therapy provides students with the choice of two elective groups, Specialising in Massage and Spa Therapies. Specialising in Massage therapies provides a range subjects to provide various massages such as Reflexology, Stone massage and Indian head massage. Spa therapies provides a range of subjects such as work in a spa salon and provide spa treatments such as body wraps, Indian head massage and stone massage.
