By completing this course, you’ll be qualified to work as an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Manager, and Registered Tax Agent. Want to continue your study? You’ll have guaranteed entry into university and receive up to 12 months credit towards a university degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce and Finance.

Qualifications & Skills Covered

This course teaches the skills and knowledge required for different jobs within the financial services industry in Australia and covers tax, budgets and forecasts, financial performance and reports, BAS statements and payroll systems. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 6 core units and 5 elective units.

Course Notes

  • The Diploma of Accounting has 7 pre-requisite Certificate IV subjects within the program, contained in the Accounting Principles Skill Set.

  • Those units are Prepare financial reports; Process financial transactions and extract interim reports; Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers; Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry; Set up and operate a computerised accounting system; Complete business activity and instalment activity statements; Establish and maintain payroll systems.
