This exciting, British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited sandwich course provides theory and practical experience as you develop an appreciation of the difference psychology can make to people’s lives.
Gain a grounding in the major areas and current issues in psychology in the first two years of study, followed by a one-year work placement in year 3, and further specialist units and a dissertation in the final year.
Students will spend their placement year working for organisations that apply psychological knowledge in a professional setting. Those may include clinics treating adult or child mental health problems such as eating disorders, the prison service, the police, student academic and mental health support units, organisational and management consultants, or academic Psychology departments.
Develop your practical skills, including listening and communication, support and advice provision, and become familiar with and able to identify psychological disorders.
