It will help you develop specific practical skills and enhance your powers of communication across a range of media, such as radio, online media and journalism.

The aim of the course is to enable you to become an effective media communicator and analyst. You will explore and examine critically at aspects of the media (radio, film, television, press, media institutions, new media technologies) to understand how they work and their role in our lives. You will choose a practical area (radio, online media, journalism) and move from a basic to a broader production experience. You will also produce a special project, choosing either to create a portfolio of work, or to write a dissertation on an aspect of the media that you would like to explore in more depth.
