Course Information

Gain the academic skills required for higher-level study in animal science.

This six-month programme is designed to build your skills for long term academic and career success by ensuring the essential layers of learning are in place. It covers a variety of subjects aimed at preparing you for the New Zealand Certificate in Animal Management or the New Zealand Certificate in Animal Technology (Veterinary Nursing Assistant), or the New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation Level 4, which then leads to the New Zealand Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

You'll take core courses designed to equip you with fundamental academic and mathematical skills, then a selection of courses specifically required to advance in your chosen pathway.
