The 3-year MComp Computer Science is ideal for students looking to explore the wide area of Computing from different perspectives. Computing is at the core of modern technology, and at the heart of a number of specialist technology fields.
This course has no summer break enabling students to achieve the equivalent of Undergraduate and Postgraduate awards in one three-year programme.
In the first year from October to May, the course has the same format as BSc (Hons) Computer Science. This gives the option for students to change to a different course if necessary.
During the first summer, two second year subjects are delivered. The summer in the second year involves completion of a 30 credit Undergraduate project to make up for the entire 360 credits after two years of studies.
The third year aligns with the MSc Computer Science programme tailored against the specific requirements of the MComp degree.
