The relationship between a person with a mental illness and the nurse is central to helping them back to mental health. This course emphasises the development of appropriate communication and interpersonal skills through interactive learning in practice settings such as hospitals, prisons, service users’ homes, residential centres, specialist clinics and other community settings. This course leads to both an Honours degree and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, allowing you to practise as a mental health nurse and in accordance with the NHS Constitution.
A Degree with a Foundation Year gives you an alternative entry route to an Undergraduate course.
Whether you’re returning to learning and require additional help and support to up-skill, or if you didn’t quite meet the grades to pursue an Undergraduate course, our Degrees with Foundation Year provide a fantastic entry route for you to work towards a degree level qualification.
