If you have a degree in nursing or a health-related area and you'd like to extend your knowledge and skills for advanced practice in the health sector, this one-year online diploma is an interdisciplinary programme for qualified health professionals and health service managers.

It will equip you with advanced practice knowledge and critical analysis skills.

You will spend time in independent study, critical reflection and field work in your place of study or place of work. The programme is characterised by the option of advanced study with a specific health endorsement, requiring a foundation of undergraduate knowledge and skills achieved through previous tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience. Some endorsement options exist - Child and Family Health, Elder Health (available from 2018) - however the diploma can also be completed without a specific endorsement.

To achieve the certificate you need to complete four of the available courses within four years.

*This programme is delivered using a mix of online and face-to-face learning in class. It includes compulsory two-day workshops at the City campus for some courses.

^ Please note that not all courses are offered in both semesters, and that some courses are prerequisites for others.
